Summary:

This course provides an introduction to Solaris processes, and shows how to view processes, understand the effects signals have on processes, and manage processes.

Objectives:

After completing this course, students will be able to:
  • List the commands which display information for all active processes on the system
  • State the effect of sending a specified signal to a process
  • List the commands used to terminate an active process

Technical Requirements:

200MHz Pentium with 32MB Ram. 640 x 480 256-color video (800 x 600 is recommended). Windows 98, NT, 2000, or XP. Internet Explorer 5.0 or higher required.
